Civil ceremonies at Channels

Under the 1994 Marriage Act, Channels are proud to be able to offer this facility in two individual areas. Either in the 18th Century thatched barn, holding a congregation of up to 70, or our 'Trophy Room' in the 14th Century clubhouse holding a maximum of 20 people. The comfort and convenience of having your ceremony and reception in the same location makes the choice of Channels popular and attractive to many couples.

Channels and its' team have over 25 years experience delivering the high standard expected, from a formal "Wedding Breakfast" for 120 guests to an "A La Carte" meal for two.

The Club House & Brasserie

If you are seeking a more relaxed approach to dining may we suggest that you try a meal in our recently refurbished 14th Century clubhouse with Brasserie restaurant, surrounded by memorabilia of days gone by. Or if you prefer, why not try eating "alfresco" on the patio?
A daytime bar snack or light meal from our tasty "light bites" bar menu and "Blackboard Specials" will offer something for everyone. These are available everyday. It's the perfect setting for an evening out, business meetings or lunches, especially on Sundays.

Private functions in the Brasserie

Why not consider hiring our Brasserie for your private event? Ideal for special occasions such as weddings, birthdays, anniversaries or retirement celebrations. We offer a comprehensive range of menu ideas and drinks packages, which can accommodate your particular requirements. Our in-house manager would be pleased to discuss your individual needs. The Brasserie can cater for parties up to 60 guests.

The Brasserie will delight every food lover. Located in our 14th Century clubhouse it is styled and decorated to equal our existing high standards. Our experienced chefs endeavour to use only local suppliers to ensure that only the freshest of ingredients are prepared to satisfy the most discerning of palates. The Brasserie offers a wide selection of traditional English favourites and fine cuisine with a continental influence. All serviced by a friendly, well-trained and experienced team, who take great pride from customer satisfaction.

The Trophy Room
A private dining room for up to 15 guests. This exceptionally splendid room doubles up as a lounge during the day. Ideal for private events where intimacy is important. All backed up with the same friendly and professional staff serving the menu of your choice.
