9 Hole Qualifying
Competitions
The English Golf Union has agreed that the above may now be
introduced to provide additional opportunities for the return of
qualifying scores.
The format for the 9 hole qualifying competitions is stableford with
a “neutral” 18 points for the nine un-played holes being added to
the 9 hole stableford score.
These competitions are open to all although it will not be a
qualifier for category 1 players (0-5.5) and a category 2 player may
not be cut to category 1 when playing in one of these competitions.

Belsteads Course has been accepted and given a 9 hole qualifying
stroke index and initially we have allotted 2 dates on which these
competitions shall be played on an open-ended basis i.e. no specific
tee closure.
Forward Booking, Sign In and Scoring will be completed in the usual
way using the computer. Entry fee of £2 with the monthly prize fund
being determined by the number of entrants.
Competitions will take place on the first Tuesday of each month.
Points will be awarded for the first 3 places each month and will
determine the winner of the Belsteads Bunny Trophy at the end of the
year.
